Hi, I’m Anna!

I’ve been doing crafts for my whole life.

I love using upcycled, thrifted, and found materials to do my crafts. Most of the supplies I use for my own crafts and for my workshops were acquired at thrift stores, creative reuse centers, Little Free Libraries, and the literal trash.

I’m also a recovering perfectionist. Oh, you too? Welcome.

One thing I love about crafts is that you can be bad at them and it literally doesn’t matter. It’s totally fine!!!

So I’d like to show you how to do some bad crafts.

Let's do bad crafts!

Frequently Asked Questions

  • OMG ME NEITHER. I hate it, actually. However, the first step in being good at something is being bad at it. Our workshops celebrate being an amateur—doing something just because you LOVE it, not because it’s “productive” or “profitable.” It’s fun to be bad at crafts!

  • My rate for individual lessons is generally $100/hr, but if that poses a financial hardship, I offer a sliding scale option for those unable to afford my regular rates. Let’s talk!

Corporate workshop rates vary based on a number of factors, including number of participants, the craft you choose, and your location. Contact me to request more information on corporate workshops.

  • Absolutely! Private events hosted by individuals are priced differently from corporate workshops. Send me a note and we can discuss what you’re hoping to host.

  • This article has a lot of great resources that use data to back up the claim that making things with one’s hands is great for mental health.

A 2015 study from Dartmouth showed that taking an art course can actually rewire your brain—something your employer might see as beneficial to productivity.

Crafting can reduce cortisol levels (a stress response) and increase dopamine.

Plus, crafting with your coworkers is a GREAT team-building activity. And better yet: I’ll come to you. No need to get everyone to show up at the sip ‘n’ paint place!

If you’d like more info on my corporate workshops, drop me a line and we can talk.

  • I’ll bring the workshop to your workplace! Generally, I’m open to workshops within about an hour of Washington, DC (depending on traffic 🤪).

  • Check out my Patreon! There, you can find information on the Bad Collage Club (which doesn’t require you to be local) and get access to even more craft info and inspiration.

You can also follow me on Instagram. (I do have a TikTok account but NO PROMISES.)
